With September comes cooler days (we hope!), delicious apples, and great days for heading to the mountains. This will be our third year to make this outing and it's always fantastic! Last year there were about 25 of us who toured some of Virginia's vineyards and visited Stribling Orchard. How many will we have this year?We'll leave from the St. Peter's parking lot in the morning and will return some time late afternoon. If you don't drive, never fear. Let me know and I'll connect you with a ride. We'll caravan from St. Peter's to an area orchard for apple picking and lunch (bring a lunch!). Then it's off to some of our area vineyards. If you have suggestions for either orchards or vineyards, let them fly!!
This is a pay-as-you-go event, so bring money to buy apples, etc. at the orchard and for the wine tastings and any bottles you take home. Also, throw some cheese and crackers in your bag to enjoy with the wine!
